Itinerary

Day 1:

Once you meet you fellow travellers in Galway city we will take you into the heart of the Burren. This morning we will take you to the dolmen at Poulnabrone, one of Ireland's iconic tombs. This is the location of the last resting place of a local Druid or Chieftain. It is also an opportunity for a great photo! We will then take you on a hike through the Burren. Here, we will explain about the flora and fauna that are exclusive to this area of Ireland. Now it’s on to one of the biggest highlights of the tour, the cliffs of Moher. If the weather permits, you will have the option to kayak along the base of the Cliffs of Moher. If the weather won’t allow it or it is simply not your fancy you will take a hike along the top of the cliffs, which is just as amazing. We will spend the night in Lahinch, which is one of the surf capitals of Ireland.

Day 2:

We'll head down to the beach at Lahinch in the morning. Here, you will have the option to take some surf lessons. If you always wanted to try it or you just like surfing this is the best place in the country to do it. We will head further down the coast and we will make a stop at Kilkea. Here, you will have the opportunity to try Coasteering, a new land/sea adventure activity. First, you will be taken along the base of the sea cliffs. You can climb along the edge and jump into the sea lagoons dotted along the way. Fantastic fun! Then we will take a drive to the ferry port and cross to Terbert. You will probably start to feel hunger. We will take you for some wholesome pub grub and a well-deserved pint at The South Pole Inn. Tonight we will stay in the wonderful Dingle.

Day 3:

In the morning it’s time to do what everyone has on their bucket list. You will swim with Fungi the dolphin. Fungi came with a school of Dolphins to Dingle harbour years ago but never left. You can then choose from a mountain ride on horseback with amazing views of the Dingle Peninsula or a cycle around the famous Slea Head. After your adventure of choice you will need to be warmed up a little and there is no better place than the Dingle Whiskey Distillery. Here, you will be shown the secrets of Whiskey making. You will also have the chance to sample a few tipples before you leave. No one ever likes to leave but more adventures await! On our drive our of the Dingle peninsula we will stop for a refreshing walk at Inch Beach and enjoy the vast stretch of golden sand. Then we will move on to the Ring of Kerry and stay the night at Cahersiveen.

Day 4:

Our first stop this morning is the world famous Ring of Kerry. We will travel along the ring and get plenty of photo opportunities. We will also stop at the port in Portmagee. From there we will take a ferry to one of Ireland's most holy places, Skellig Michael. Built in stone beehive huts, you will find a most unusual monastery. Centuries ago, the monks were cut off from the mainland and spent their time praying and creating manuscripts. However, if the weather doesn't permit us to take the ferry we will head into Killarney National Park. Here visit the Gap of Dunloe and hike through one of the most beautiful valley's in the country. We will stay in the vibrant town on Kenmare tonight.

Day 5:

After some breakfast we will drive to, a fishing village called Castletownbare, which looks like it's caught in time. Then we will take a ferry to Bare Island. About a 20mins boat ride from the mainland, this is a small inhabited island. It is a magical little Island. This is a place where stress doesn't exist and time stands still. Here, you will take a spectacular bike ride through the island and take another ferry to get back to the mainland. After some lunch in Glengariff, the capital of the Beara peninsula, we will drive to Baltimore. We will check into our accommodation and later take a night kayak in Baltimore bay. This will be a wonderful experience and a perfect finish to your tour. This will surely have been an unforgettable and once in a lifetime experience!
