Tour Itinerary

The departure location for the Blarney day tour is the Molly Malone statue on Suffolk Street. Your fun-loving and knowledgeable tour guide will introduce you to your fellow travelling companies and then we will head down to the southern terrain of Ireland! Along our route, we will pass through the area referred to as "The Curragh" within the County Kildare. Because of the region's rich and grainy soil that drains easily, this area is the perfect stage for horse racing, breeding and training. Kildare is also home to the National Stud Farm as well as the beautiful Japanese Gardens.

We head to one of Ireland's 7 Wonders - the Rock of Cashel! This is the final stop on our Cork and Blarney tour and you will have the chance to explore the Hall of Vicars, Cormack's Chapel, Celtic Cathedral, Round Tower and the surrounding fields that are full of preserved high crosses. Here, you will have the opportunity to see one of Ireland's oldest Romanesque wall paintings. This site is famous for being the seat of the King of Munster and because it dates back from before the Anglo-Norman conquerors reigned over the land.

Blarney Castle is our next stop and you will not be disappointed by the number of things to see here! Make sure to see the famous Blarney Stone which bestows you with the "gift of gab"! In addition, take a stroll through the woodland walks and the 18th century Blarney manor.

Cahir Castle was once the stronghold of the powerful Butler family, the castle retains its impressive keep, tower and much of its original defensive structure. It is one of Ireland's largest and best preserved castles. It is situated on a rocky island on the River Suir.

We will hop back on the bus and head towards Dublin while we relax and listen to traditional Irish folk music.

We will arrive back to Dublin after a great day of sightseeing on the Blarney tour!
